DOG DISPUTE LEADS TO AGGRAVATED ASSAULT CHARGES

  

A dispute over a dog led to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges for a 46-year old Florida woman.

Brenham police reports say a woman had taken the dog of her son’s former girlfriend and was driving away with the dog on U.S. 290 last (Tuesday) night.

The dog owner was following the woman but when the alleged dog thief saw her in her rear view mirror she allegedly pointed a pistol at her pursuer.

Brenham police officers stopped the woman, found the dog and the pistol.

Karla Renee Miller was then arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
