DR. ANGELA BURKHAM NAMED EXECUTIVE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR A&M AGRILIFE

  

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has appointed a new executive associate director.

Dr. Angela Burkham has been named to the position, where she will oversee AgriLife Extension operations including administrative, budget, and human resources.

Dr. Burkham is currently interim state program leader for family and community health.  She also oversees North Region programming, which includes 41 counties surrounding Amarillo and Lubbock.

Incoming agency director Dr. Jeff Hyde, who will become director September 1st, said Dr. Burkham has a “distinguished career with AgriLife Extension during her 27 years with the agency”.  Dr. Hyde said she will be an outstanding contributor in this role based on her “dedication, leadership, and overwhelming support from others”.
