ELEVEN TEENS ARRESTED FOR STORE RIOT IN BRYAN
Eleven young people have been arrested after a Bryan Police investigation into a raid by a mob of teenagers on a convenience store.
Authorities say a group of about 30-to-40 teens gathered in the parking lot at the Food Mart on William Joel Bryan, the night of January 4th—immediately after Teen Night at a dance club across the street.
Police say a small group of the teens originally went into the store and started stealing some items. That group then encouraged others to do the same.
Moments later, a mob of teens stormed the store.
Due to cooperation from teens and parents, 11 suspects have been identified and will be charged with participation in a riot
Police are allowing the teens, ranging in age of 12 to 17, to turn themselves in at their on convenience. They could face a fine of up to $2,000 and or up to 180 days in jail.
