The Houston SPCA removed eight emaciated quarter horse crosses, including two ponies, from a property in Brookshire.

According to the SPCA, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office reached out for assistance after discovering the animals were not being taken care of properly, including lack of proper nutrition and farrier care.

The horses are now under the care of SPCA veterinarians and the organization’s equine and farm animal team.

The organization has not indicated whether the owner will face charges.

  1. Of course the owner should face charges – cruelty to animals. If we had more of these charges with severe consequences maybe we could see less of things like this. I also do not think these horses should be returned to the so called owner !!!

  2. I’m so happy to see that there are people besides me looking out. God bless you and those who do this, you will
Have a special place forever in Gods eyes.
