EVENING LIONS INSTALL OFFICERS FOR 2018-19

  

The Brenham Evening Lions Club installed its newest officers for the coming year at last (Tuesday) night’s meeting.

Officers for 2018-19 include: President – Nicole Cook; Vice Presidents – Joe Green, Dr. Ron Rexroad and Gary Ivy; Secretary – Glen Vierus; Treasurer – Randal Hoppens; Membership Chairperson – Joe Al Picone; Lion Tamer – Lloyd Quebe; Tail Twister – Katie Brinkman; Song Leader – Dave Brodhead; and Program Coordinator – Dr. Wilfred Dietrich.

Directors of one year include Anthony Cook, Andy Charles-Pierre, and Don Langley, while second year directors are Katherine Powers, Shelia Green, and Dr. Debra LaCour.  Immediate Past President was the late Dr. Charles Heller.

District Governor Lion James Haverland installed the officers and challenged them to make the most of their new leadership positions.  Haverland was recently sworn in as District 2-S5 Governor.

Lion David Brodhead was presented a certificate of appreciation for his donation to the KidSight program, which helps local kids determine if they need corrective eyewear with screenings.  The program is holding its first screening next Wednesday, July 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
