SUMMARY:Volunteers Needed-NCFCA Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Approximately 175 junior high and high school students from across south Texas will come to Brenham next month\, to compete in a speech and debate tournament. \nBlinn College will host the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association (NCFCA) All-Region Qualifier tournament January 7-9.  Students will compete in Lincoln-Douglas and team policy debates\, along with various prepared and limited preparation speech events. \nOver 250 community volunteers are needed throughout the three day event to evaluate students.  The NCFCA says students rely on the judges for valuable feedback for improvement\, growth\, and encouragement.  No previous experience in either speech or debate is necessary to judge. \nJudging each round is a three hour commitment\, which includes a 30 minute judge orientation\, the actual round\, and time to fill out the ballot with feedback.  Volunteers can judge as little as one round on one day\, or as many as several rounds over all three days.  Complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided.
