DESCRIPTION:Area Easter Egg Hunts\nThe Yard – April 1st\, 3:00-6:00 pm and offers free face painting\, petting zoo\, pony rides and Easter Bunny photos (1405 W. Main St.) \nIn Burton The Rocky Creek VFD – April 2nd\, starting at 2:00 pm with a “special visitor” arriving at 2:45 pm and the egg hunt will be at 3:00 (9771 Longpoint Rd.) \nSilversage Assisted Living and Memory Care – April 6th\, drive-through parade and egg hunt\, free face painting and hot dogs available on site\, the Easter Bunny will be ready for pictures as well (1121 Prairie Lea St.) \nSaturday\, April 8th\nSt. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church-Brenham - food\, games and the hunts will take place from 10:00 am to noon.  As part of the celebration\, the church will accept donation for Bread Partners of Washington County from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Requested items include peanut butter\, oatmeal\, cereal\, canned fruit\, pasts and soup. \nThe Antique Rose Emporium - separate area for different age groups\, there will be shaved ice and a food truck on site.  The egg hunt for ages 0-5 will begin at 11:15 am followed by ages 6-9 hunting at 11:30 am and ages 10 and up at 11:45 am. \nThe Brazos Valley Brewing Company - will have its Easter egg hunt beginning at noon and events end at 2:00 pm. \nBurton Chamber of Commerce – hosted in partnership with the Long Life Brotherhood\, the Easter egg hunt will be from 2:00 – 4:00 (12419 W. Branch St. in Burton)

DESCRIPTION:This Earth Day Brannon Industrial Group is excited to announce a fun and educational creative project to celebrate our great planet and all the ways that we can help protect it. As a waste management company\, we want to bring special attention to this day because we want to help educate and further the mission of Earth Day. In between now and Earth Day- Saturday April 22nd\, we are encouraging the greater Brazos Valley to build a functional item\, solely from recyclable materials. We’re calling it: Reuse Your Recyclables! \nThis is a virtual competition throughout the whole Brazos Valley to make the most creatively functional item ONLY using recyclable materials. Our hope is that this Earth Day project provides an educational reminder to what items are recyclable and how they should be recycled\, while also giving a new perspective on how we can all repurpose everyday items in our life… all while having FUN!
