SUMMARY:Unity Theatre presents "The Crucible"
DESCRIPTION:In the spring of 1682 a Salem village reverend discovers a group of teenage girls dancing around a fire in the woods. When his daughter exhibits strange symptoms the next morning\, the town becomes frenzied with talk of witchcraft.  Neighbor is pitted against neighbor and the deeply religious community is torn apart. The Crucible is a timeless parable about morality and the consequences when fear takes root in a community. The play won the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play and is considered a landmark work in the canon of American drama.

SUMMARY:St. Peter's Episcopal Church offering "Ashes on the Way"
DESCRIPTION:St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is once again offering “Ashes on the Way” on Ash Wednesday\, Feb. 14.  We will be there to let people simply drive through and receive the imposition of ashes.  Our hours will be 7:00 am - 9:00 am and again from 11:00 - 1:00. \nThe drawing of a cross with ashes on the forehead serves as an invitation to repentance\, and a response to our encounter with the Word of God. "Ashes on the Way" moves the encounter with God (in the form of God’s people offering prayer and symbols) and that invitation to repentance out of the church building\, into the spaces of everyday life where we live out our response to God. The grace comes from God\, the same free gift at the same cost\, as God’s grace made known inside the church.
