FAIR QUEEN CANDIDATES INTRODUCED

  

The Fair Queen Candidates for the 146th annual Washington County Fair were introduced to the public Monday evening at the Fairgrounds.  The candidates heard some words of encouragement from last year’s Fair Queen Marci Raley.  The 5 candidates will be competing to be crowned Queen of the Washington County Fair which begins September 12 and continues through September 20th.

 

Caylee Rocka
Caylee Rocka

 

 

 

Representing the Brenham FFA is Caylee Rocka, daughter of Tim and Kim Rocka.  Caylee is a Senior at Brenham High School and is an officer in the Brenham FFA.  She competes on the FFA Dairy Judging Team, as well as showing chickens and Beef Master Cattle at the Fair and other major shows.

 

 

 

Lundy Porter
Lundy Porter

 

 

 

Lundy Porter will be representing the Brenham FCCLA chapter.  She is the daughter of Randy and JoAnn Porter.  Lundy is Senior at Brenham High School where she is involved in student council, National Honor Society, FCCLA, and the Interact Club.  She has also participated in the Heritage Belles, Maifest, Young Life, and serves as a tour guide at Blue Bell Creameries.

 

 

 

 

Haley Nutt
Haley Nutt

 

 

 

Representing the Burton FFA will be Haley Nutt.  She is a Senior at Burton High School and the daughter of Boyd and Joy Nutt.  Hayley is involved with FFA, basketball, volleyball, track, FCCLA, 4H, and Dual Credit at Blinn College.  She also serves as a volunteer at Nails Creek State Park.

 

 

 

 

Heather Ruemke small

Heather Ruemke will be representing Washington County 4H.  She is the daughter of Billy and Pam Ruemke.  Heather is a Senior at Brenham High School.  She has been involved in 4H since she was 8 years old and the FFA since her freshman year. Heather has been a familiar face at the Junior Livestock Auction.

 

 

Ashlyn Korth
Ashlyn Korth

 

 

 

Also representing Washington County 4H is Ashlyn Korth.  She is the daughter of Keith and Christi Korth.  Ashlyn is a Senior at Brenham High School where she is a member of the student council and the National Honor Society.  She has been involved in 4H since she was a clover kid.  She also participates in FFA events and has been a Girl Scout for 13 years.

 

 

 

 

Each of the Fair Queen Candidates will be selling Fair tickets at part of the competition.  Season passes are $25 if you buy them from a candidate but go up to $30 if you wait and buy them at the gate.
