FAITH MISSION ASKS RESIDENTS TO SHELTER IN PLACE

As harsh winter weather persists around the region, Faith Mission, in conjunction with local emergency management officials, is encouraging residents to shelter in place for safety measures.

Faith Mission Executive Director Reverend Randy Wells said the organization worked with the City of Brenham and Washington County prior to the weather event to make provisions for any homeless individuals and families in the community.

Rev. Wells said residents should avoid traveling, as the roads are very dangerous and could put people at greater risk.

Anyone experiencing a life-threatening emergency should call 911.  Other calls can be made to the Washington County Office of Emergency Management at 979-353-7683.

Rev. Wells asked residents to keep one another in their thoughts during this time, and to check on their neighbors when possible.
