FATAL ACCIDENT ON FM 390 FRIDAY AFTERNOON

  

One person is dead following a one-vehicle accident on FM 390 in northeastern Washington County Friday afternoon.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that the male driver of an 18 wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident shortly after 4 o’clock Friday afternoon.  The 18 wheeler had been southbound on FM 390 before leaving the road near Husemann Road.  The Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to the scene as the victim was reportedtrapped.  The call was cancelled enroute once EMS determined that the victim was dead.  A spokesperson for the DPS reports that it appears the man may have died prior to the accident.  His name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
