FAYETTE CO. MEN FACING DRUG CHARGES AFTER ARRESTS

Two Fayette County men are in custody after their arrests Wednesday on drug charges.

Larry Busby
(Fayette Co. Jail)

Around 1:15 p.m., Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a possible disturbance in the 2100 block of Highway 159, near La Grange.  A subject, identified as 19-year-old Larry Busby of La Grange, was detained after being reported on private property.

Located on Busby was a crystal type substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.  He was taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone.

Then shortly after 8 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 77 near Leo’s Stop and Shop in Schulenburg for traffic violations.  When deputies made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, extreme nervous behavior was shown by the driver and passenger.

Spencer Lee Norman
(Fayette Co. Jail)

A frisk for illegal weapons resulted in deputies finding hypodermic needles, a crystal type substance that tested positive for meth, a meth pipe, and other drug paraphernalia in the passenger’s backpack.

40-year-old Spencer Lee Norman of Schulenburg was arrested and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
