Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a South Texas woman and confiscated nearly $20,000 worth of methamphetamine after a Friday morning traffic stop.

According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, a deputy pulled over an eastbound 2012 Chevy Cruze on I-10 between Schulenburg and Flatonia around 5:00 a.m. Friday.

Deputy Louis Gabler discovered a plastic baggie containing nearly a half-pound of methamphetamine.

The driver,33-year old Clarissa Garcia of McAllen, was arrested and taken to the Fayette County Jail, where she remains in custody.
