FAYETTE COUNTY REPORT

  

The Fayette County Sheriff’s office reports that on Friday afternoon around 4:40pm, their office received a 911 call to report a hay baler on fire on FM 1383 in the Ammannsville area.

The Schulenburg Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene along with Sgt. Charles Jobb of the Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival, the John Deere Hay baler was fully engulfed.

The Schulenburg Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire, and there were no other reported property damage.

The Sheriff’s office also reports that their office has been busy with several emergency calls that afternoon.

Around 5:35 pm, a 911 call was received reporting a grass fire on State Highway 88 near Race Track Road.

The LaGrange Fire Department was notified and responded. Along with assistance from the Winchester Fire Department and the Texas Forest Service.

White responding to that location, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a funnel cloud spotted on Airport Road near State Highway 71. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Darrell Maze and Sgt. Charles Jobb responded to the scene, along with DPS Trooper Patrick Mlandenka and The LaGrange Fire Department.

Upon arrival, property damage was observed, but there were no reported injuries.
