FAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS POSSIBLE ELECTROCUTION

  

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported on Thursday morning around 10:44 am the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a possible electrocution at Calmaine, 1522 Flatonia Airfield Ln.

The caller requested EMS for a driver that was operating a boom on a truck unloading feed, when the boom struck a power line, knocking the driver to the ground.

Deputy Joe Martin with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County EMS Medic Unit 1, The Flatonia Fire Department and Flatonia Police Sgt. Troy Rudloff were notified and responded to the scene along with Fayette Electric Power Company.

Air Evac 47 was requested and responded to the scene. The driver was flown to UTMB in Galveston, Texas.

The name of the injured person is being withheld
