FAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS RECENT GRASS FIRES

  

Despite the recent rains, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office has received several 911 calls reporting grass fires in the county.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek says that on Tuesday afternoon around 1:10pm, a grass fire was reported on Klaus Road in the Round Top area. The Round Top-Warrenton Fire department was notified and responded to the scene.

The second grass fire was reported right before 4pm on Wood Duck Rd near the Fayette-Bastrop County Line. The Muldoon Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene.

Another grass fire was called in around 5:30pm on Rabbs Prairie Rd off US Highway 77 north, and the La Grange Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene.

All fires were contained and extinguished and there were no other report of damages.
