FAYETTEVILLE PREPPING FOR 43RD ANNUAL LICKSKILLET DAYS

  

Lickskillet Days are coming back to downtown Fayetteville.

The 43rd annual celebration is set for October 19th and 20th on the town square, but activities begin as soon as next Thursday with the Lickskillet Queen’s Pageant at 6:30 p.m. at the Fayetteville ISD Cafetorium.

The official Lickskillet kickoff party begins Saturday night at 6 p.m., with food and drinks from local restaurants, and a street dance with the Black Cat Choir starting at 7 p.m.

Sunday’s parade begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by a catered meal from Peter’s BBQ at 11 a.m.  Tickets for the meal are $12.

The Fayette Czech Singers and Dancers will perform from noon to 1 p.m., and at noon the Skillet Licking Contest gets underway.  There will also be a silent auction starting at 10 a.m., and a live auction at 1 p.m.

Proceeds benefit the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, supporting community events and activities.
