FIRE DEPARTMENT CALLED OUT TO ACCIDENT AND ELECTRICAL SHORT

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to a pair of calls, Tuesday.

Just before 9:00 a.m., they were called to a minor accident at the intersection of South Market and Pecan Streets, where one of the vehicles had leaking fluid.

The Department used dry absorbent to clean up the spill and return to service.

The Department was called out to a building at 1400 Woodson Lane, to a report of a smoke smell.

No fire was found.  But a short was discovered in a wire to the electric water heater.

The Brenham Electric Department was called out to turn off the electricity to the water heater.
