‘FIRE & ICE’ COOKOFF THIS WEEKEND
Historic Independence is hosting the Annual Fire & Ice Cookoff this weekend.
Proceeds will benefit the restoration of the historic Independence School House on the Town Square.
The weekend kicks off tonight (Friday) with the Steak Shoot Out and Margarita contests at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday’s judging gets underway at 10:00 with Chef’s Choice and Beans; Chicken at noon; Pork & Ribs at 2:00 p.m.; and Brisket at 4:00 p.m.
Awards will be presented at 6:00 p.m., Saturday.
