FIRST DAY OF EARLY VOTING DRAWS 63 VOTERS

Early voting is underway for the Republican and Democratic Primary Runoffs in Washington County.

According to County Clerk Beth Rothermel, Monday saw 33 voters participate in the Democratic Runoff, while the Republican Runoff had 30 voters, a total of 63 voters thus far.

Early voting continues today (Tuesday) through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Courthouse Annex, which will close Friday in observance of Independence Day.  Early voting will resume July 6-10, with extended voting hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the 6th and 7th.  Election Day is July 14th.

Rothermel says there is plenty of reserved parking in front of the Courthouse Annex, and curbside voting is available directly in front of the Annex for voters that may have a hard time walking into the building.
