FIVE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Five people have been sentenced in this week’s session of the 21st District Court in Brenham.

37-year old Naketha McDade, of Hempstead, was sentenced to two years in prison for Theft of Less Than $1,500 with 2 Previous Convictions – a Third Degree Felony.

Also sentenced in court this week:

47-year old Sergio Francisco Rojas, of Brenham, was placed on eight years’ probation and fined $3000 for Third Offense Driving While Intoxicated –  a Third Degree Felony.

Rojas was also ordered to spend 10 days in the Washington County Jail, undergo drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, perform 300 hours community service restitution, and undergo DWI education classes.

39-year old Shawn Patrick Obrien, of Carmine, was placed on six years’ probation for Third Offense Driving While Intoxicated – a Third Degree Felony.

Obrien was ordered to have an interlock device installed on his vehicles, spend 30 days in the Washington County Jail, undergo drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, perform 200 hours community service restitution, and go to DWI education classes.

22-year old Irvin Arevalo, of Houston, was placed on five years’ probation for Tampering with Physical Evidence – a Third Degree Felony.  He was also ordered to perform 100 hours of Community Service.

And, 19-year old Antonio Robert Tamez, of Melissa, Texas, was placed on four years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance – a State Jail Felony.

He was also fined $1500 and ordered to perform 150 hours of Community Service.

  1. Probation and less than 30 days or less in jail for 2 and 3 Driving While Intoxicated in pathetic!
    I sure they won’t learn anything! That was a slap on the wrist! Come on Washington County !! To many people lose lives to people that make foolish decisions to drive drunk! Shame on the county for slapping repeat offenders on the wrist for 2nd and 3rd DWI convictions!!! Smh
