FIVE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

Five people plead guilty to felony offenses in the latest session of 21st District Court.

40-year-old Matthew Garrett Polk of Brenham was sentenced to nine months in jail for Burglary of a Building – a State Jail Felony – occurring in May.

(Washington Co. Jail)

32-year-old Craig Allen Marcum of Brenham was sentenced to six months in jail for Theft of Property between $2,500 and $30,000, as well as Possession of a Controlled Substance, both State Jail Felonies. Marcum was arrested in July on each of the charges.

54-John Thomas Davison of Brenham had his probation revoked and was sentenced to six months in jail for the Possession of a Controlled Substance, a State Jail Felony. Davison was arrested back in April of 2014.

38-year-old Molly Michelle Washington of Brenham was sentenced to three years’ probation for the Possession of a Controlled Substance – a State Jail Felony – occurring in July. She will also have to perform 200 hours of community services, pay a $180 lab fee and $50 crime stoppers fee, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment, and participate in a drug offender education program.

29-year-old Shawn Thomas Sullivan of Brenham was given two years’ probation for the Delivery of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone, a Third Degree Felony. Sullivan plead guilty in February for the offense which occurred in June of 2017.  A hearing in April was held with no plea bargain agreement, initially sentencing him to two years in prison.  Upon motion, the defendant was released under shock probation.

Sullivan will also have to pay a $180 lab fee and $50 warrant fee, submit to drug and alcohol treatment, and participate in a drug offender education program.
