Weisler continued his tradition of public service by serving as president of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, was president of the Lions Club, president of the Washington County Bar Association, and was commander of Brenham’ American Legion Buddy Wright Post No. 48.

He was also a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where he served as director of the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest.

In 2006, Weisler married Bonnie Jacoby Webb, a retired educator, in the Chapel at Westpoint..

Up until recently, Weisler had continued a limited law practice in Brenham, and served as the presiding judge of the Municpal Court of the City of Brenham, and served fellow veterans as an advocate of the Texas Department of the American Legion.

  1. I had the pleasure of knowing Judge Weisler during my employment with the City of Brenham. He always had a smile to share and words of wisdom. My God comfort his family during this difficult time.
