FORMER CUB PREPARING FOR SUPER BOWL LIII

Former Brenham Cub, Malcolm Brown, is just one day away from appearing in his third Super Bowl as a member of the New England Patriots.

A former 5-star prospect at Brenham during the 2012 recruiting cycle and First Team All-American at the University of Texas, Brown already has one Super Bowl Ring after the Patriots came back from a big deficit to defeat the Atlanta Falcons two years ago.

There is some concern for his availability, however, as he was listed as limited at their practice on Wednesday. While he did dress out, he was mostly on the sidelines with a calf injury. According to head coach Bill Belichick, "he did some stuff early in practice...everybody else was good to go." This may just be a simple case of precaution, as Belichick said later that unless something happens "...I'd say he looks alright."

Super Bowl LIII is set to kick off Sunday at 5:30p from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The Patriots are a slight favorite to win.
