FORMER FLATONIA POLICE CHIEF ARRESTED

  

Mike Noak, the 59 year-old former Chief of Police in Flatonia turned himself in to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, June 16th.

According to the Fayette County Record, during a search of Noak’s home on June 5 in relation to an investigation into missing evidence of a firearm, it was found in his home.

The firearm was from a previous Flatonia Police investigation.

Current Flatonia Police Chief Perry Kram stated that during the search, Noak complained of chest pain.

He was sent to St. Mark’s medical center before being transferred to Austin for further treatment.

Noak surrendered to Fayette County Sheriff’s after his release.

He has been charged with theft of a firearm by a public servant, which is a 3rd degree felony. He has posted a $10,000 personal recognizance bond and been released.

Noak resigned as Chief in Flatonia in November of 2016.
