FORMER LOCAL CHAMBER LEADER PAIGE MICHEL TAKES POST IN LAMARQUE

  

The long-time former head of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce has taken a new job.

Paige Michel has been named the new president of the LaMarque Chamber of Commerce.

Michel served as president of the local Chamber, as well as the Tourism Bureau and Economic Development office for over 20 years.

Most recently Michel served as Business Development Coordinator for Community Matters Inc.

Michel has also served as President of the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce Executives and also served on the Board of Directors of both the Texas Association of Business and Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Association.

She also received the 2015 Distinguished Service Award from the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Michel will take over the office Wednesday, July 15.
