FORMER STATE SENATOR KONNI BURTON TO SPEAK AT WASHINGTON CO. REPUBLICAN CLUB MEETING TUESDAY
A former State Senator will be the guest speaker Tuesday at the Republican Club of Washington County’s monthly meeting.
Former District 10 State Senator Konni Burton will speak at the meeting, set for 6 p.m. at Blinn’s Student Center Banquet Hall in Brenham.
Burton recently started a news outlet called The Texan, which she says provides a right-of-center, objective outlet to provide news without a narrative.
A group social will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a catered dinner of chicken and beef fajitas at 6 p.m. The program will begin shortly after dinner is served.
The public is invited to attend. Cost for the meal is $15.
