FOUR GRADUATE FROM BLINN CLINICAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM

Four students recently completed Blinn College’s Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) Program.

The four – Bailey Elizondo, Gabriela Lopez, Kimberly Miller, and Shelby Pitts – will now take the National Health career Association Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam.

CMAs are medical support professionals who perform clinical and administrative duties, including maintaining patient medical records, scheduling appointments, administering medications, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, and recording vital signs.

Blinn’s 200-hour CMA Program is offered in Brenham and Bryan and consists of three courses; two the classroom, and one in a clinical setting under the direct supervision of a healthcare provider.

To enroll in the Clinical Medical Assistant Program, students must first participate in a mandatory online healthcare information session.
