Funeral arrangements have been announced for the newlyweds from Sam Houston State, who were killed in a helicopter crash Saturday night near Uvalde.
Will Byler, of Bellville, and Bailee Ackerman Byler, of Orangefield, left their wedding Saturday night in a helicopter. It crashed north of Uvalde County into the side of a hill, about five to ten minutes after it departed. The couple was killed, along with the pilot.
The National Transportation Safety Board has had difficulty investigating, as debris scattered more than 100 yards from the crash site.
Will and Bailee Byler were seniors at Sam Houston State, and were members of the rodeo team.
Two visitations have been scheduled. The first will be held tomorrow (Thursday) from 2 to 4 p.m. at Turning Point Church of Vidor, with a service following. The second visitation will be at the Bellville United Methodist Church on Friday, from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
There will then be a graveside service at 4:30 p.m., also on Friday, at the Byler Family Cemetery at Byler Ranch in Uvalde.
