GALVESTON LABORATORY WORKING ON EBOLA OUTBREAK

  

The Galveston National Laboratory received  $6 million  from the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Defense to help find a cure for the Ebola and Marburg Viruses.

The current Ebola outbreak has infected more than one thousand people in West Africa has killed over 700. This is a new strain of the Ebola Virus and could complicate efforts to develop a cures. The outbreak is the longest lasting and most wide spread outbreak ever recorded.
