The price of a gallon of gas continues its drastic rise—locally and state-wide.
According to AAA Texas, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded rose another eight cents this past week in Texas, for an average of $2.29 per gallon.
That price is the same price per gallon compared to this same time last year.
In Brenham, the average price is a bit higher at $2.31 per gallon.
Consumers in Midland are paying the most on average state-wide at $2.46 while drivers in San Antonio are paying the least at $2.17 per gallon.
The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.52, which is seven cents more than this day last week and a cent less than the price per gallon at this same time last year.
