GIDDINGS WORD WRANGLER SET FOR SEPTEMBER

The Giddings Public Library & Cultural Center and the Giddings Area Chamber of Commerce have announced the 13th Annual Texas Word Wranglers Festival will take place September 14-15th.

Word Wranglers gives the community an opportunity to meet authors and learn about the writing craft.

Adults are welcome to attend the free event at the Giddings Public Library.

The authors invited to participate have written books on such topics as: children’s stories, quilting, archaeology, poetry, cookbooks, bird watching, fiction, history, historical fiction, mystery, romance, music, Texas Gardening, and anything related to Texas.

The two day festival at the Giddings Public Library & Cultural Center allows authors sell their books and take questions.  Some of the authors read or talk to groups of students that visit the library.

During the day, Thursday the 13th, the authors are invited to visit the Giddings Public Schools to talk to students about the writing process, ideas for stories, how a book is taken from the idea to the written page and more.

Thursday evening a fundraising gala event is held to introduce the authors to the community. Gala tickets can be purchased at the Library. Space is limited.

Friday and Saturday, authors will be available to the public to sell and sign their books.

  1. Looking forward to participating in another Word Wrangler! This will be the third or maybe the fourth time we have come to Giddings for the Word Wrangler event, and we have always had a fantastic time, meeting with other authors, and talking to the kids!
