GIVING DAY–BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES SET FOR TUESDAY

  

An 18-hour on-line fundraiser this Tuesday hopes to benefit some local organizations.

The Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley is hosting its first every Giving Day—Brazos Valley Gives, Tuesday from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Molly Watson, of Brazos Valley Gives tells the Brenham Banner Press, the 18-hour online fundraiser aims to bring the region together on one day and as “one community,” to raise critical funding and awareness for non-profit organizations throughout the Brazos Valley.

Among the organizations serving Washington County, participating in the event are: the Brenham ISD Education Foundation, Blinn College Foundation, CASA for Kids of South Central Texas, CHI St. Joseph Health, Hospice Brazos Valley, Miracle Farm, NAMI Brazos Valley, New Beginnings Life Ministries, The Bridge Ministries, and Volunteer Services Council of the Brenham State Support Living Center.

The total goal for Brazos Valley Gives is $500,000.  All donations will pass go directly to the donor’s charity or charities of choice.
