GOOD FRIDAY IN BRENHAM

  

The Washington County Ministerial Alliance is hosting a full day of commemoration of Good Friday.

The Rev. Randy Wells, of the Alliance says they began the day with a commemorative march through Brenham to Fireman’s Park.  He says, once at Fireman’s Park, it was time for prayer, songs and remembrance.

The traditional Good Friday service will be a three pm Friday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church.  This will be a ‘gospel sing’ and ‘exhortation’ Pastor Phil Fenton of St. Paul’s, who says ‘Holy Week is a very special time for believers and he hopes to see over 300 people  from the Washington County Community to be  a part of this one hour service.

The Washington County Ministerial Alliance will collect a free will offering for the annual sponsorship of two children from Uganda.  These children were introduced to Brenham three years ago rhrough  two Mwangaza Children’s Chorus performances.
