GRBA MURDER TESTIMONY BEGINS
Testimony in the murder trial begins today (Thursday) in Caldwell for a 20-year old man accused of shooting a College Station man in January of last year at a Snook apartment complex.
Roderick Grba was arrested soon after a early morning altercation at a Snook apartment complex that led to the shooting death of 31-year old Marcus Carroll of College Station, on January 7th, 2013. Grba has been in custody at the Burleson County jail under a million dollar bond since then.
A jury was seated yesterday (Wednesday) in a Burleson County courtroom for the trial.
The jury of seven women and five men will hear the case presented by District Attorney Julie Renken.
Grba is also charged with aggravated assault and burglary, both felonies. He faces up to life in prison if convicted in the killing. Aggravated Assault and burglary can have a punishment up to 20 years in prison.
District Court Judge Carson Campbell is presiding over the case.
