GRIMES COUNTY FAIR TO KICK OFF TOMORROW
The Grimes County Fair will be held beginning tomorrow and running through June 6th at the Grimes County Fairgrounds.
The festivities begin on Saturday, as the Bud Light, Team Auto, and Doge presents a CPRA Rodeo.
The Fair Queen’s crowning begins at 7:30pm with a dance featuring Johnny Bush.
On Sunday, June 1st, there will be a kid’s rodeo beginning at 5pm, featuring a boot scramble, stick horse race, and dummy roping.
The fair continues through June 7th with shows and exhibits, children’s activities and more.
There will be rodeo events each night including a calf scramble, calf roping, team roping, ranch hand rodeo and a bull buck out.
There will be arts and crafts booths.
Musical entertainment includes Johnny Lee and the Urban Cowboy Band, with opening act Desert Roads Band, Johnny Bush, Parker Heights, and the Rhythm of the Road.
Tickets are $10 per person, with children five and under free.
