Hobby is also a managing partner of Genesis Park L.P., a Houston-based private equity firm focusing on buyouts, partnering strategies with public corporations, and growth financing.

Kurt Podeszwa, outgoing chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, says the chamber is “very happy to have Hobby as the banquet speaker, calling Hobby “ …a well-respected leader in the Greater Houston area who will talk about goals for growth in this region.”

A major highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the winners of the 2013 Man and Woman of the Year-Lifetime Achievement awards.

Nominations are being accepted for these awards until Jan. 6, and nominating forms are available at the chamber office.

Tickets for the banquet will go on sale on Jan. 2. Reservations for corporate tables may be called in to the chamber office starting this week at 836-3695.
