HOMELESS MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT

  

A homeless Houston man is in police custody after his arrest in Brenham Monday night.

Just before 10:00 p.m., Cpl. Lance Weiss was dispatched to the 400 block of Tanglewood Drive in reference to a reported stabbing.

The caller said her father and uncle were fighting and her uncle stabbed her father. Officers arrived at the residence and the caller said her uncle and father got into a verbal argument, which lead to a physical altercation during which her father was stabbed with a screwdriver.

65-year old Dave Wesley Crawford was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault-Family Violence.

The victim was transported to Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. The case is under investigation.
