HOT NIGHTS, COOL TUNES ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCED

  

Spring has sprung and that means summer is next. For the past ten years it has meant Brenham has meant Hot Nights, Cool Tunes, a series of downtown concerts and street The music and dancing  begins July 5th with the Texas Unlimited Band.  This band plays a wide range of music including, country, rock, and 80s hits.  Sponsors are Dr. Paul LaRoche, Dentistry, Branded Boutique and Bank of Brenham.

 

Saturday, July 12th has the Matchmaker Band,  a 10 piece show band specializing in the sounds of Motown, soul, funk, and dance music, with four vocalists.  Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, Citizens State Bank  and Houston Hermetics arer sponsoring this concert.

Returning to the concert series is one of the old favorites.  Abbey Rode and Already Gone, will perform July 18th, with their tributes first to the Beatles and the Eagles.  Brenham National Bank, Spiess Insurance-Germania, and Seidel, Schroeder and Company are sponsoring this concert.

 

The series concludes on July 25th with Suede.  Suede plays hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s and today.  C. Michael Altman, DDS, PC, J&A Roofing, Jon and Amber Westerfeld, and Budweiser, Mike Hopkins Distributors sponsors this concert.

 

The usual additional attractions will be there too.  The Stray Katz Car Club will hold a Cruise-In Car Show along West Alamo Stret and there will be food and drinks along with alcoholic beverages.   Concert goers are urged to leave their coolers at home at patronize these vendors because  they help keep the concerts free and they benefit community projects.
