HOT NIGHTS COOL TUNES LOOKING FOR SUGGESTIONS

The City of Brenham is looking for suggestions for bands to play at the “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concert series next summer in Downtown Brenham.

A posting to the Downtown Brenham Facebook page is asking for the public’s feedback on bands for the 2020 edition of “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes”.  It asks three questions:

  1. Which band would you bring back from this past year’s line-up?
  2. Any bands from previous years we should bring back?
  3. New band suggestions?

You are encouraged to visit the Downtown Brenham Facebook page and post your suggestions.  The bands are typically booked in the fall for the following summer.

  1. Never went as its always way to hot. I’m sure you have plenty of band suggestions but imagine if you had the young and old there who won’t have the heat issues. Move it to the fall or spring when temps are more moderate. Although I no longer live there I’m sure this would help with attendance, keep people and vendors alike more comfotable and spending longer! Call it Cool Nights and Hot Tunes.

    1. There WAS an April session last year I believe. A strong cold front blew in after many were on site in their warm weather wear. In the spirit of the many Oktoberfest’s around and the Germanic heritage (I’m one of them) late Oct with a Brass Band?

    1. Not everyone attends or can attend WCYF. It would be nice to have a good mix of everything, country included.

  2. Agreed…on Already Gone.
But not Midnight Expess again. They played way too many of Chicago’s songs which kept them from playing other songs & I don’t remember them playing any country & western songs.
    The Argyles were just o.k.
I missed the night of The Rock-a-Fellas.

  3. Bon Jovi! Lol. Seriously though the Eagles cover band Already Gone that played a few years ago should be brought back. They were great.

  4. Terry and the T-Birds can bring a variety of music to your event. From Classic rock, country, oldies and even an Elvis Tribute…without the Sideburns and jumpsuits. Contact Brian Lippman 979 229-3825 for more info.
