HOUSTON SCHOOL BUS DRIVER CHARGED

  

The Houston school bus driver that was charged in the hit and run that killed a bicyclist, claims that she did not know she had hit someone. 

Phyllis Ann Booker, 54 appeared briefly in court following her arrest in the death of bicyclist Bobby Brooks, 56. Booker was charged with failure to stop and render aid. 

Booker originally denied hitting anything while on her route. 

Booker was driving for First Student, a national bus company. She had been a driver for about three years, and made approximately six stops on her regular route. 

Police later inspected buses in the First Student lot and found blood on the undercarriage of one bus. 

Booker's bond was set at 30,000 and was placed on bond supervision that prohibits her from driving. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Nov 19th.
