HOUSTON WOMAN ARRESTED IN LOCAL DRUG BUST
A Houston woman faces charges after her arrest this morning on drug charges.
Brenham Police Officer Justin Schiller stopped a vehicle for speeding, just after 8:30 this morning at the 1100 block of Highway 290 East
Phipps was informed that the driver, 21-year old Dasia Eubanks of Houston, was wanted on an outstanding traffic warrant.
A search of Eubanks’ purse turned up a small amount of marijuana. However, a more extensive search of her vehicle turned up a total of six-and-a-half pounds of marijuana, valued between $35-to-40,000 on the street.
Authorities also seized nearly $4,000 in cash.
Eubanks was arrested and transported to Washington County Jail.
She is charged with Possession of Marijuana—over five pounds and less that 50, which is a 3rd degree felony.
