HUDSON SMITH NAMED SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICAN

Brenham-native Hudson Smith is one of 22 Texas A&M swimmers and divers who have received Scholar All-America recognition from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
Smith, who’s majoring in Construction Science, achieved honorable mention Scholar All-America status, which requires a GPA of 3.50 and achieved an NCAA “B” time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet.
Smith, a 2017 graduate of Brenham High School, was a seven-time High School All-American and five-time State Champion. He is also the U.I.L. state record holder in the 100 breaststroke and 200 Individual Medley. He also holds 11 Brenham school records.
He is the son of Brett and Sandra Smith.
