HURT FROM EVENTS IN DALLAS FELT LOCALLY

The nation is grieving today after the attack on Dallas police last night that left 5 police officers dead and 7 wounded.  No place is that hurt felt more than with those who serve.  Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak said that outpouring this morning to his office has been non-stop and wanted to say thank you:

Hanak also commented on what an event like this does not only to those who serve, but also to the nation:

Several events have been scheduled in response to the Dallas shootings.  St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will hold a pray service at 5 PM today.  The church is located at 2310 Airline Dr.

A Father and Son Solution Summit is planned for Saturday, July 23, from 10-12 noon at the Cannery Kitchen on Alamo St.  Organized by Randy Wells of Faith Mission, the summit will include dialogue of needs, concerns and solutions and discussions with community and church leaders.

  1. I hope the guns r not blamed again! It’s the hate in protestors shouting pigs in a blanket!

  2. The overwhelming majority of us love and support the police. Ignorance and apathy have invaded the very fabric that holds our nation together . I suggest that all citizens take time to thank local law enforcement for everything they do to keep us safe. After all, Brenham has one of the best police departments in texas. We are truly blessed

  3. Thank you to all who serve and protect us in Washington County. I pray that you are all safe and will never have to encounter what the officers in Dallas had to encounter. I appreciate all that you all do everyday !!!!
