INDEPENDENCE PUTTING ON CAR SHOW SATURDAY
Cars and motorcycles of all kinds will be travelling through Independence this weekend.
The 3rd annual “Car Show in the Country” takes place tomorrow (Saturday) at 9325 FM 390, by the school house.
Mark Rosenbaum, of Independence Community Events, says the community will be able to see vehicles spanning multiple generations.
Registration opens at 9 a.m., with awards at 2 p.m. Entries will get a free t-shirt and are entered for door prizes.
General admission is free, and there will be concessions available. Rosenbaum says all proceeds will go towards the restoration of the school house.
