“KARA” NAMED PET OF THE WEEK

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named “Kara” as its Pet of the Week.

Kara, a pit bull mix about one to two years old, is the shelter’s longest resident, having been there since October.  Brenham Animal Services staff say she is very energetic and has quite the vertical jump.  She does have an old toe injury, but it has healed.

Staff say Kara has made great strides in learning how to sit and patiently wait for a reward.  She also gets along well with other dogs.

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center is still closed to visitors, but anyone looking to adopt or foster a pet can see the shelter’s available pets online at www.petfinder.com.  Appointments can be made by calling 979-337-7351, or going to the Brenham Animal Services Facebook page.  Appointments are being taken Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.
