KOLACHE FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND

  

Caldwell’s annual celebration of Czech heritage is this weekend.

The annual Kolache Festival is set for Saturday in downtown Caldwell, with free admission.

Everything gets underway with the official welcome at 9:00 on the South Stage at the corner of Buck and Echols.

Miss Kolache Burleson County will be crowned at 10:00 on the South Stage, while the annual Kolache Eating Contest begins at 11:00.

The State Championship Bake Show Awards and Ceremony are slated for 4:30.

Entertainment throughout the day includes: The Original Kolache Festival Band; The Shiner Hobo Band; Edward Kopecky’s Fun Time Czech Band; and Chris Rybak.

A Street Rod and Classic Car show as well as an Antique Machinery and Tractor show will be taking place at the Davidson Creek City Park.

The Official Post-Festival Party is from 7:00-to-11:00 p.m. at the old Post Office in downtown, featuring the Black Cat Choir.  Admission to the post party is $5.
