UPDATE – KWHI AUDIO BACK ON SUDDENLINK CHANNEL 20

Update 11:45 AM Thursday - KWHI's audio has returned to Suddenlink Channel 20 in Brenham, although it is very "tinny" sounding.  KWHI was able to meet with a Suddenlink technician at their tower and replace an amplifier that took a lightning hit over the weekend.  The audio is back on now, but is very "tinny" sounding.  We will continue to work with Suddenlink to resolve the problem.

KWHI’s audio has been missing since this past weekend on Brenham’s Suddenlink Cable channel 20, but we have not been able to get an answer from Suddenlink about the problem.  KWHI has called Suddenlink service every day since Monday, but we have not received a call back from anyone at Suddenlink.  KWHI has equipment to add our audio to channel 20 located at the Suddenlink tower north of Brenham, but we are unable to access it without Suddenlink’s permission.  Customers who have called Suddenlink to complain about the missing audio have been told its KWHI’s problem.  We would like to correct the problem if there is a fault with our equipment, but cannot do so if Suddenlink refuses to cooperate.  KWHI wants its listeners to know we are continuing to try to contact Suddenlink about the problem.

  1. I don’t like that Sudden Link ended the local channel with all the Sunday morning church broadcasts. For seniors who can’t always get out, this was a chance to worship from home. I wish they would bring this back.

    1. Sadly, they are all bad. Suddenlink, Spectrum, Comcast, Charter, etc. NONE of them provide really good service and/or have a great support department….and they lure you in with reasonable introductory pricing and gouge you when that period expires….
