KWHI SET TO HOST ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY

For six decades, KWHI has thrown an “on the radio” Halloween Party in conjunction with Brenham and Burton School Districts and other local schools and daycares, and that tradition continues this Halloween season.

Kids in Brenham and Burton can expect to receive their brightly colored KWHI Halloween Party cards from their teachers this week. This year’s party, set for 7 o’clock Halloween night, features some of the most popular toys for kids from age 3 to 18.  Promotions Director Holly Ryder explains.

As it has been since the 1960’s, the Grand Prize is a 20 inch bicycle provided by Brenham Tire & Auto. Other prizes include a 32 inch LED flat screen TV from Cash Station Jewelry and Loan, a Go Glam Nail Stamper kit provided by Altman Dentistry, $25 passes to Horseshoe Junction Family Fun Park, and an Owleez Flying Baby Interactive Toy from Bilski Water Well Service.  KWHI and KTEX-106 will also be giving away tickets to Disney on Ice, The Texas Renaissance Festival and the Moody Gardens Festival of Lights.  In all, about forty prizes will be awarded during the Party Halloween night.

The KWHI Halloween Party was conceived to promote safe trick or treating, and to get kids off the streets at an early hour. Ryder says the cards are being delivered to schools a little earlier this year to ensure kids and parents have plenty of time to return them to KWHI before October 31st.

Each card also contains valuable coupons from Whataburger, Horseshoe Junction, Burger King and Bush’s Chicken. Entry forms can be returned to KWHI by mail or dropped off at our downtown Brenham office at 223 East Main Street.  A copy of the card, with a full list of prizes and sponsors, is available on our website, www.kwhi.com.
