LAST DAY TO PLACE ORDERS FOR TOMATO AND PEPPER PLANT SALE
Today (Friday) is the final day to submit orders for the Washington County Tomato and Pepper Plant Sale.
Order forms are available online at http://washington.agrilife.org, or at the Washington County Extension Office at 1305 East Blue Bell Road in Brenham. All orders must be paid for when they are placed; no orders will be taken without payment.
Plants are $2.50 per pack, with all proceeds going to the youth of Washington County through scholarship.
This year’s lineup has 12 kinds of tomato, three varieties of jalapenos and bell peppers, banana peppers, cilantro, dill, parsley, eggplant, squash and zucchini.
Washington County Horticulture Committee members have selected each variety of plant, all suited for growth in the region.
Purchased plants can be picked up March 26th from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Sales Facility in Brenham.
